The cocktail of choice for Day 6 of Drinkmas The Cutzpah. Chutzpah is a laddish word that has multiple meanings, one of which being audacity. And who has the audacity to use Manischevitz in a cocktail? These chicks do!
Manischevitz is a red grape wine that is produced in the State of New York. It is a kosher wine that is popular with the Jewish, Caribbean, and Auntie communities. It is sweet wine typically served as a desert wine but we have the chutzpah to make a cocktail with it. The recipe for this grape flavored goodness can be found here but we’ve listed it below for your convenience:
Ingredients
2 ounces concord wine such as Manischewitz
1 ounce orange juice
1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 ounce vodka
2-3 ounces dry sparkling wine such as Prosecco
1 slice of lemon, cut into a round
Directions
Fill a shaker with ice and add all ingredients except the sparkling wine. Shake vigorously and pour into ice-filled highball glasses. Top with sparkling wine and garnish with lemon slice.
